Biography: Local lad Browne joined Waterford United from Waterford Bohemians in 2004 but since then he has had a well-documented League of Ireland career. He left the Blues to join Sporting Fingal and after a spell back at the RSC, before the commanding centre half made the move to St. Patrick’s Athletic where he helped them land the FAI Cup. His next move was to Cork City where he secured another FAI Cup medal and put in a string impressive performances in Europe. His decision to make a move back to Waterford and his hometown club underlined the major ambitions of the club overall for the 2017 season and beyond. “Fletch” re-signed ahead of the 2019 season.
