Two Mile Borris/St Kevin’s FC join Waterford FC Club Partnership Programme

Waterford FC is delighted to welcome Two Mile Borris/St Kevin’s FC to our Club Partnership Programme. Two Mile Borris/St Kevin’s FC were founded in 1971 and have fantastic facilities in their Newhill Park complex based just outside Littleton. Two Mile Borris/St Kevin’s FC have a large playing membership with boys, girls and men’s teams all active is the Tipperary Southern and District League and the Tipperary Schoolboys Southern and District League.

The club has been making great strides at underage level over recent years and this year contested both the U12 and U16 SFAI Regional Cup finals that were held in Evergreen in Kilkenny in May.

This season the club have eight players selected to represent South Tipperary in the Kennedy Cup which was a great achievement. The club hosts numbers FAI coach education courses throughout the season also. Current Republic of Ireland International Shane Long started his football career at Two Mile Borris/St Kevin’s FC.

Welcoming Two Mile Borris/St Kevin’s FC into the Club Partnership Programme, Waterford FC Director of Football Pat Fenlon commented:

Tipperary is a big county without a League of Ireland presence but yet has a huge passion for football It’s very important for Waterford FC going forward to engage more with the region’s clubs and this will be the start of a good relationship.”
